On 12 October 2016, Piraeus Port Authority S.A. welcomed the newly built cruise ship “SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER”. The PPA Management executives handed an honorary plaque to the Italian master Vasta Rosario Giovanni, along with books as gifts for the ship’s library.

This 224-meter ship, with total capacity of 750 passengers and 650 crew members, was built in July 2016 and is deployed in the Aegean ever since.

It is worth mentioning that October 2016 forms another month of growth in terms of cruise calls for Piraeus Port, a hospitable and safe port in the Eastern Mediterranean. According to current estimations the Port of Piraeus expects to see 15 to 20 percent growth in total cruise traffic in 2016.
