Algeria, which is an emerging cruise destination, had no track record of cruise calls until 2005. We entered the market in early 2006 and successfully handled Phoenix’s Amadea on the 4th May 2006 carrying 400 German-speaking guests and later on the 23rd October 2006, we handled the first ever American ship to call in Algeria – Silversea’s Silver Cloud. Fast forward to 2017 and we were handling several calls of Viking Sea.

Several milestones were reached, firstly because it was the first ever presence of Viking Cruise Line ships in Algeria, secondly because, at 227m, they are the longest cruise vessels to berth in Algiers and thirdly because the largest ever number of guests disembarked for shore excursions organized by Algeria Cruise Services.

Algeria, which is still untouched by mass tourism is also considered one of the safest countries in the south Mediterranean littoral and close to mainstream EU ports like Barcelona, Malaga, Cagliari, Valencia and Valletta.
