Since 1992 the business group has been linked to cruise ports, starting in Barcelona, where the headquarters are located, and growing hand in hand with the progress of the sector, Terminales del Atlántico Medio (TAM hereinafter) is also present in the cruise terminals of Malaga, Cadiz, Vigo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santa Cruz de La Palma, Lisbon and Ponta Delgada (Azores). Currently operates more than 30 stores (16 of which are bonded warehouses) and provides commercial services to more than 5 million cruise passengers, being its model demonstrably exportable.
Having developed a multitude of services in each of the ports, TAM mission is to adapt its service offering to the needs of each location, also depending on the commercial space available. The driving force behind the business is the operation of Duty Free Shops, which combine high-demand international products from the tobacco, alcohol and perfume families with local products that give meaning to each place, such as souvenirs, food, wines and typical handicrafts.
All this together turns TAM stores into optimal and very attractive spaces from which they can offer more services such as: currency exchange, sale of telephone cards, sale of parapharmacy products, tourist information point, tasting of local products, areas destined exclusively for the crew members.
