The 2026 tourist season has officially begun in Porto Santo Stefano with the arrival of the cruise ship Silver Muse, which called at Argentario on Saturday, 14 April. The ship’s Captain, crew and guests were warmly welcomed as they came ashore to discover the beauty of the region.
During their visit, guests had the opportunity to explore Argentario and its surroundings, enjoy local culinary experiences including cooking classes, visit regional wine cellars and admire the landscapes and cultural attractions of the territory.
As this was Silver Muse’s maiden call in Argentario and also the first call of the season, the traditional plaque exchange ceremony took place on board. The Mayor of Argentario, Arturo Cerulli, together with the Harbour Master, T.V. (CP) Francesco Luigi Balsamo, and Fabrizio Palombo, Technical Manager of the PORTARGENTARIO hospitality project, officially welcomed the ship’s Captain and thanked him for the call.
On the occasion, the local authorities also highlighted the growing interest of cruise lines in the ports of Argentario and Giglio Island, which continue to attract an increasing number of prestigious cruise companies each year.
PORTARGENTARIO, which organises and coordinates the area’s promotional activities and hospitality services, remains committed to making each call an engaging experience for cruise ships and superyachts visiting the destination.
With the first call of the season successfully completed, Argentario now looks ahead to a 2026 season expected to bring a rich programme of cruise and yachting calls and events.
