BC Tours acquires the travel agency Ibercruises in Portugal

BC Tours, the company specialising in the provision of tourist services for cruises that is part of Alsa, has announced today that it has completed in Lisbon the acquisition of Ibercruises, a leading travel agency in Portugal specialised in providing handling services for the main cruise lines.

With offices in Lisbon and Funchal that cater for the ports of Lisbon, Oporto and Portimao, Funchal and Azores islands, the acquisition of Ibercruises allows BC Tours to reinforce and consolidate their position as a leading company in services to cruises in Portugal and the Azores. This strategic acquisition is part of the expansion plan of BC Tours, that is planning to extend their portfolio of services to the global industry of cruises to new destinations and countries.

Isaac Álvarez, Director of the Alsa Tourism Unit, stated the following: “I am thrilled to add Ibercruises business to BC Tours Group.
