Bodrum Cruise Port , operated by Global Ports Holding, the world’s largest cruise port operator, successfully concludes another remarkable cruise season, welcoming 116 cruise calls and 138,149 passengers — a record number of visitors to Bodrum. The port has strengthened its position as one of Türkiye’s leading cruise destinations and earned recognition for its commitment to sustainability and community engagement at a historic high.
Major cruise lines contributed to this strong season, with AROYA Cruises completing overnights calls. As well, Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady and Marella Cruises’ Marella Discovery 2 each calling Bodrum. In the luxury segment, Bodrum hosted Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Evrima, Ilma, and Luminara, as well as Silversea’s Silver Muse and Silver Whisper.
Bodrum Cruise Port also celebrated the conclusion of its social responsibility initiative for the 2025 season, “One Day. One Ship. One Future.”, launched in collaboration with Marella Cruises. The project welcomed high school students to the port for a day throughout the year for exploration, beach clean-up activity, a port tour, and a ship visit. Supported by Bodrum Sea Rescue, the event aimed to raise awareness of marine conservation and inspire young people to consider maritime careers.
This project, which has positioned Bodrum Cruise Port as a finalist in the “Sustainability Project of the Year” category at the Seatrade Cruise Awards 2025, reflects the port’s ongoing dedication to environmental responsibility and education.
Aziz Güngör, East Med Regional Director of Global Ports Holding, stated: “This has been an outstanding season for Bodrum Cruise Port, both in terms of operational success and social impact. We are proud to see Bodrum recognized internationally for its sustainability efforts, and we remain committed to developing projects that benefit both our community and the environment.”
Set against the backdrop of the Aegean’s turquoise waters, Bodrum is one of Türkiye’s most iconic coastal destinations — celebrated for its vibrant culture, historical heritage, and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Once the ancient city of Halicarnassus, home to the Mausoleum — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — Bodrum today blends its rich history with modern sophistication, attracting visitors from around the world to its lively marinas, boutique hotels, and upscale dining scene.
Ideally located within walking distance of Bodrum’s town center, Bodrum Cruise Port plays a key role in supporting local tourism and economic growth. Combining world-class operations with a strong commitment to sustainability and community engagement, Bodrum Cruise Port continues to strengthen its position as one of Türkiye’s leading cruise destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean.
