Corsica Ports open their busiest cruise season ever

On April 10th, a beautiful dawn welcomed Hapag-Lloyd ship, Europa, on her way to the port of Bastia for its first call of 2022.

A few days ago, the busiest cruise season ever has begun for Corsica Ports which are expecting to receive globally 480 calls this year for an estimation of 500 000 passengers.

Corsica Ports is a network of 8 ports around the island : Ajaccio, Bastia, Bonifacio, Calvi, L’Ile-Rousse, Porto-Vecchio, Propriano, Saint Florent providing a global and diversified offer to cruise lines, in one of the most beautiful island in the world, mixing glamour spots and genuine soul.

Ajaccio, the leading welcoming port of Corsica, is expecting 220 calls in the birth city of Napoleon, thanks to its 220 mtrs pier dedicated to cruise ships.

This season, the 8 ports are welcoming back European and American companies with large programms of calls, in addition to the French cruise lines (Ponant, CroisiEurope, Club Med) which proposed successful itineraries around the island the last two years and have maintained them this season.

Among the companies welcomed this year, 3 of them are calling for the first time in Corsica : Virgin Voyages, Ritz Carlton, Scenic Cruises and Corsica Ports are globally expecting 16 ships’ maiden calls around the island.
