Following Seatrade Cruise Global Miami 2026, Luz Marina Espiau, Board Member of MedCruise, attended the Global Superyacht Forum Miami, actively engaging in conversations, supporting members and contributing to the dialogue shaping the future of the sector.

One of the key sessions, “The Future of Luxury Hospitality Platforms: Branded Experience & Expectations”, moderated by Lourdes Hainlin, brought together leading voices including Asli Deger (Galataport Istanbul), Alain Gruber, Claire Hagen and Silvia Nauta.

The presence of Asli Deger, representing both Galataport Istanbul and the MedCruise community, together with Mohamed Gamal, highlighted the growing influence and connectivity of MedCruise members across regions and sectors.

The discussions reinforced a clear trend: the convergence between cruise and yachting. Global brands such as Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Orient Express are redefining luxury at sea, integrating hospitality, destination and maritime experience into a unified value proposition.

This evolution is raising expectations and opening new opportunities for ports and destinations to position themselves not only as infrastructure hubs, but as key enablers of high-value, experience-driven ecosystems.

In this context, MedCruise continues to strengthen its role as a dynamic and forward-looking association, connecting members across regions, supporting their international positioning and ensuring their active participation in the conversations that are shaping the future of the industry.

The event also provided an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders such as The Tourism Lab and its CEO Andrea, reinforcing the importance of knowledge-sharing, collaboration and cross-industry dialogue.

As the boundaries between cruise, yachting and luxury hospitality continue to blur, MedCruise remains at the forefront, connecting its members with emerging trends and strategic opportunities on a global scale.
