Global Ports Services (GPS), a Global Ports Holding (GPH) company for integrated ports services, closes its 2025 cruise season marked by significant operational milestones, geographic expansion, and deepening collaborations with the world’s leading cruise brands. Throughout the year, GPS reinforced its role as a trusted partner in delivering reliable, high-quality service solutions across multiple ports and regions.

The season opened with a major highlight: GPS supported TUI Cruises’ newest vessel, Mein Schiff Relax, with five full turnarounds at Barcelona Cruise Port. These operations required precise coordination across both the cruise and port services teams – demonstrating GPS’s ability to execute high-volume, time-critical movements with discipline and consistency.

In April, GPS strengthened its partnership with Virgin Voyages during the brand’s fourth season in Barcelona. With ships operating at full capacity, GPS managed complex turnaround operations that underscored both the rapid growth of Virgin Voyages and GPS’s capacity to support next-generation cruise brands with scalable, guest-centric service delivery.

Beyond Barcelona, GPS expanded its operational footprint. The company delivered its first turnaround operation at Lisbon Cruise Port, marking an important step in extending its integrated service across the Atlantic and Western Mediterranean. In Malaga, GPS increased its presence with dedicated support for Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady, managing onboard logistics, ground services, and crew movements. This milestone coincided with the opening of GPS’s own office in Malaga; strategic investment designed to elevate service consistency and strengthen on-the-ground responsiveness.

“2025 has been a year of meaningful progress: expanding our reach, deepening client relationships, and delivering services that meet the rising standards of the cruise industry,” said Jordi Guillem, GPH Port Services Director. “We are committed to building on this momentum and continuing to provide integrated port services that bring efficiency, quality, and added value to every port call. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our GPS team, whose hard work and commitment drive our success every day.”

As the 2025 season concludes, GPS reflects on a year defined not only by operational achievements but also by the collective effort of its teams, partners, and port communities.
