Exceptional results were achieved from the port of La Spezia during the first year of activity of the new cruise pier.
Till today more than 200000 passengers (+320%) landed at the new Garibaldi pier and the new cruise terminal which have been opened in record time by the Port Authority and inaugurated with the Costa Classica’s first call on April 6th followed by that of the Liberty of the Seas on May 3rd.
These results testify to the great work done by both the Port Authority and the entire port community that have been able to work together for making this great result possible confirming the Port of La Spezia as the new cruise port in the Med.
The new Garibaldi pier with a length of 600 meters can accommodate vessels of up to 340 meters with drafts of 10 meters.
Next year a further relevant increase is foreseen with over 400 thousand passengers expected to visit La Spezia.
