30th October 2025 – MedCruise today launched the Blue Community, a pioneering digital learning and collaboration platform developed in partnership with SEIDOR, during its first official online webinar held on 29th October.
The session was led by Luz Marina Espiau Moreno, Head of Commercial Division and Business Development at the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and a member of the Board of Directors of MedCruise responsible for Digitalisation and Innovation, together with Alberto Delgado, Director of Digital Transformation Consulting at SEIDOR.
The Blue Community represents a major step forward in MedCruise’s strategy to foster digital innovation, knowledge sharing and professional development among its member ports. Designed as an engaging online environment, the platform provides access to a range of exclusive resources and training formats, combining articles, podcasts, newsletters, masterclasses and expert consultations.
Throughout the webinar, participants discovered how the platform operates and how to make the most of its learning pathways. Luz Marina Espiau highlighted the importance of strengthening digital skills across the MedCruise network to enhance collaboration and competitiveness within the Mediterranean cruise sector. Alberto Delgado, meanwhile, presented the technical and educational framework behind the platform, underscoring SEIDOR’s commitment to supporting the digital transformation of port communities.
The Blue Community will offer monthly themed content focussing on digitalisation, innovation and productivity, as well as online and in-person masterclasses to connect members with leading industry experts. Each MedCruise port can register up to three representatives to take part in the programme.
Through this initiative, MedCruise reaffirms its dedication to empowering ports with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate a rapidly evolving digital landscape and to build a more connected, forward-looking cruise industry.
