The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has facilitated the delivery of a donation of clothing and personal items collected onboard Arcadia, operated by P&O Cruises.
The initiative follows the success of a project launched last year, through which passengers completing Arcadia’s world cruise are invited to donate clothes, shoes, books and other personal belongings they no longer need during the final stages of their voyage. On this occasion, the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was once again selected as the destination for the disembarkation of these donations.
The collection was carried out together with Fundación Ataretaco, which will give the donated materials a second life through projects supporting vulnerable communities in Tenerife.
Arcadia, belonging to P&O Cruises, has a length of 289.9 metres and capacity for nearly 2,000 passengers and 800 crew members.
