MedCruise and its membership proudly celebrate the return of cruise activity to Tunisian Ports, as La Goulette Cruise terminal received last week the first call of the year.

The first cruise ship that arrived in Tunisia since last year’s unfortunate events marks thus a rebirth of Tunisian tourism.

Our Association would like to congratulate the Tunisian Authorities, and especially Office de la Marine Marchande et des Ports, as well as La Goulette Cruise terminal for their excellent work throughout this challenging period.

During the past months MedCruise has worked intensively in collaboration with Tunisian Ports to reverse the situation in the country and is now pleased to see that these efforts proved to be fruitful.

We have also worked in advancing the prospects of cruise ports in the Med and the Black Sea where great opportunities for cruise lines and cruisers have been undermined due to external factors – the most successful General Assembly held in Odessa, Ukraine last June is the most published event of this work.

MedCruise will continue to support the efforts of its membership to further develop cruise activities in the region.
