As an old word says “who wakes up early in the morning, far away will reach”… The tourism industry in Egypt is back, and this time stands on solid base.
Last week, Alexandria Port Authority received two cruise ship calls, while just one week later the tourists are also back again in the Red Sea resorts, proving thus the revitalization of tourism in the entire country.
The two cruise ships which anchored in Alexandria Port were VOYAGER with a capacity of 406 Passengers and 200 crew members, as well as Mein Schiff 1 with a capacity of 2048 passengers and 844 crew members. The cruise tourists that arrived on board both ships were received with a warm welcome by Alexandria Port Authority staff, as well as by the local people.
This rebirth is the result of hard work and dedication, combined with the excellent presence and coordination of Alexandria Port Authority at the Seatrade Cruise Med Exhibition in Tenerife earlier this year.
Together with the tourism companies present at this major event, including Worms Alexandria Cargo Services, Inchcape Shipping Services, Rhapsody Group and KADMAR Shipping Co. and under the patronage of Ministry of Tourism and the support of Ministry of Transport, the three Egyptian Ports, namely Alexandria Port, Sharm el Sheikh Port and Suez Port made a huge and important step in bringing back the tourists in the land of the Pharaohs.
Old Alexandria… Charming Cairo… Luxury Sharm el Sheikh… Exotic Marsa Allam… Glittering Hurghada… the Wise Sphinx and the Invincible Pyramids… The always smiley and welcoming Egyptian people… History and civilization of 5000 years old… in one word – Egypt, the Mother of the World is eager to receive again tourists from all over the world.
Alexandria Port along with its staff took action and put all their efforts to serve their customers (tourists and cruise lines) by offering them -besides a new improved image of the port- also security, safety, hospitality and high quality services at international standards.
The time has proved that Egypt forms a unique destination that is meant to last forever, able to rise again like Phoenix bird, stronger and stronger!
