The 3d edtion of the MedCruise Professional Development Course was held at the IMO permises in London UK. Covering “Contemporary Issues in the Cruise Industry” the 3-day course was delivered by the World Maritime University and was completed successfully in London from 21 to 23 of October 2013.

More than 30 MedCruise members headed to the IMO Headquarters in London in order to attend the sessions and benefit the most from the highly qualified instructors.

The sessions of the first two days of the course were delivered by the Vice President of the World Maritime University Professor Shuo Ma and the Associate Academic Dean Associate Professor Patrick Donner respectively.

The sessions of the last day consisted of presentations delivered by senior IMO staff and focused mainly on safety and security issues.The participants grabbed this opportunity in order to learn from the instructors’ expertise but also in order to interact with each other discuss thoroughly on the current issues that the cruise industry is facing as well as exchange personal experiences and best practices.
