
The Port of Ravenna, the only port in the Emilia-Romagna Region, is a multipurpose port and an intermodal platform with logistics services, including high added value, equipped with port terminals and rail freight yards at its service, as well as direct connections to the main road network By virtue of its strategic geographic position is a port leading for its trade not only with Northern Italy and Central Europe, but also with the markets of the Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea and plays an important role as regards trade with the markets of the Middle and Far East.
The terminal is now managed by a new operator, Royal Caribbean, and it will welcome 300 thousand passengers per year and 100-200 employees daily. The Port of Ravenna is included among the “Core Ports” of the TEN-T Networks, and is part of both the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor and the Mediterranean Corridor.
Ravenna is a treasure of art, history and culture with an ancient and glorious past.The city is home to eight major monuments declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO and boasts the most extraordinary collection of mosaics in the world, dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
