As part of their strategic development policies in nautical tourism, and more specifically to promote the reception and dedicated services for yachts and mega-yachts in their respective ports, as well as to develop cruise tourism in pleasure boating, and to enhance the visibility of their destinations on the global luxury yachting market, Tangier City Port Management Company (SGPTV) and the  Port System Authority of the Sea of Sardinia (ADSP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on January 28, 2026, in Tangier.

Leveraging the internationally recognized reputation of Sardinian ports such as Cagliari and Olbia for their high-quality yacht services, and the status of Tanja Marina Bay International as a leading nautical hub in the Western Mediterranean and North Africa, both parties are committed to working together to offer exceptional cruise customer experiences for this fast-growing niche tourism in the Mediterranean, which complements the tourist offerings of these two destinations.
