The MedCruise Board of Directors took part in World Travel Market London 2025 (WTM London), held from 4th to 6th November at ExCeL London, engaging with global tourism leaders, cruise lines, destinations, and institutional partners to strengthen collaboration between ports, destinations, and public authorities in the cruise and tourism ecosystem.
During the event, Luz Marina Espiau Moreno, MedCruise Board Member in charge of Digitalisation and Innovation, underlined the association’s commitment to fostering cooperation models that connect destination management, port operations, and tourism governance, as key drivers for a more sustainable and competitive cruise industry in the Mediterranean and its adjoining seas.
“WTM London is a strategic meeting point for our industry. It allows us to align visions between ports and destinations, to share knowledge, and to promote a model of collaborative governance that benefits local communities and the global cruise ecosystem”, said Luz Marina Espiau Moreno.
MedCruise’s participation at WTM London reaffirmed three strategic priorities for the association:
- Promoting joint planning between port authorities and tourism institutions to create value for destinations.
- Advancing digital transformation and data-driven cooperation among members.
- Showcasing the Mediterranean and adjoining seas as a hub of sustainable, innovative, and community-centered cruise experiences.
WTM London remains one of the most influential global events in the tourism industry, bringing together more than 45,000 professionals from over 180 countries. The 2025 edition featured sessions dedicated to cruise strategy, sustainable tourism, and port-destination governance, offering an ideal platform for MedCruise to share insights, strengthen alliances, and expand its international visibility.
Through its active involvement, MedCruise continues to position the destination–port partnership as a central pillar for growth, innovation, and sustainability in global cruise tourism.
